This happened almost every time, and today I've had enough. I checked in online, and it said my estimated arrival time was 2:00 pm. At 1:33 pm, I received a notification my stylist would be ready in 15 minutes. At 1:33 pm, I ALSO received a message that I was "on-deck," meaning my stylist was finishing up with the person before me. I called the store at 1:39 pm and said I live just down the street and would be there in 5 minutes. I was told my estimated wait time was still 19 minutes (1:58 pm if you're keeping track) I arrived at Sport Clips Haircuts Mission Valley at 1:45 pm... just 6 minutes after I called... I was told my stylist had just started another haircut "because I wasn't in the store when I should have been" and that I would be next when she finished the haircut in about 40 minutes. I told they/them that my original estimated time was 2:00 pm - it was 15 minutes before that; I received a text saying my stylist would be ready in 15 minutes - just 12 MINUTES AGO; I also called just 6 minutes ago and was told my wait was still 19 minutes, and I said I was on my way and would be there in 5 minutes. They/them explained to me, like I was a child, that when you check-in, it's "not like a reservation." Obviously, they/them didn't listen to a word I said or were incapable of simple math or the concept of time. I said to take my name off the list, and I would never come back again. They/them said, "Okay." If this were a one-time event, I wouldn't be leaving this review, but as I said, something like this has happened almost every time I've gone there over the past 18 months. It might just be poor management at this location, so if anyone knows another location where they actually care about their customers, please let me know... I still have three cuts I pre-paid for!
